    Custom Fields

    I appologize in advance for the many questions but I am starting to feel a bit retardedI just want to add a new field to the customer screen, just something that will be in the CRM.  I have clicked on the Customize Tab -> Tables / Fields -> Customer -> Edit Fields. Then clicked Add a New Field, typed a Field Name and clicked Add Field.  Then clicked Finished Editting Fields.  I would think that this would save the new field on the Customer Screen, but when I click the Customers tab and Edit or Add a Customer I don't see that field on the screen.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hey Brian,

    You're on the right track! Once you add a field to the customer table, you still need to display it on a Screen (for example New Customer or Edit Customer screen). To do this you must go to Customize -> Screen and then copy the screen you want to change. 

    From there you use Screen Designer to add the newly created field to the screen. For more details on how to use the Screen Designer check out the Screen Designer PDF

    Hi Brian,

    I actually had a very similar question recently. Check out this forum postRemember that you have to also add the fields to your screen, not just to the table. Let me know if you have any further questions!
