Sales Rep Email in QuickBooks

    Sales Rep Email in QuickBooks

    If I add a new Sals Rep in Method, Method retains the email address used and successfully syncs the data with QuickBooks.  However, for Sales Reps that were in QuickBooks before we started using Method, the email address is not syncing over to Method from QuickBooks.  I tried to delete the Sales Reps out of QuickBooks, so I could then re-add them through Method, but QuickBooks does not allow me to delete the Sales Reps as they are link to Customers in QuickBooks.  How can I get the Sales Reps email address entered in Method?

    Hi joshsAA,

    There is no Email field in the SalesRep table. Are you perhaps referring to Employees, or Users?

    My SalesRep table does have an Email field and it is not a field that I added, because I am unable to delete it??

    I have spoke to your support by phone and the email address in QuickBooks does not seem to be setup to sync back to Method and Method does not allow you to enter an email address for sales reps.  The only way it works properly is to enter a new sales rep in Method, but I need to get current sales reps email addresses updated that were in QuickBooks before we started using Method.  Can someone just manually enter 5 email addresses into the SalesRep table for me on the back end?

    Josh,

    Sales Reps are linked to Users and that is how you get the email address. In Users, you can link that user to a Rep via initals. User does not need to be an active user.

    Hi Josh,

    I was able to add Email to my SalesRep table as a custom text field, click Finished Editing Fields and then go back into the table, where there is no option to Delete the field. I believe this is a custom field you have in Method, so it won't sync to QuickBooks either way.

    If this is a custom field that you have added, and want to be able to modify it through Method, you should be able to with some customization. Typically speaking however, your users' emails are stored in the Users table. May I ask why you want it in the SalesRep table?
