    Issues with Method's Google Gadget and Calendar Sync

    Some users are experiencing issues with Google gadget and calendar syncsWe are working on these issues and hope to resolve them shortly. 

    This thread will be updated as we know more and/or resolve the issues.

    EDIT: Automatic sync to Google Gadget and calendar temporarily disabled — manual sync available
    We have temporarily disabled automatic syncing to the Google Gadget and calendar to deal with the issues. You can still manually sync. For steps on how to do this, click here.

    Last night we deployed a fix to deal with the issues relating to the Google Gadget and calendar sync. We believe this should have dealt with the majority of issues.

    We are closely monitoring the situation and are dealing with matters on a case-by-case basis. If you are still experiencing issues with the Google Gadget or calendar sync, please reach out to our Support team at 1.888.925.6238 ext. 2.

    Resolved: Google Gadget and Calendar Sync

    Last night we deployed another release that we believe fixes the issues for Google Gadget and calendar sync. Thus far we haven’t seen any additional errors come through.


    However, if you are still experiencing issues, please follow the steps below to reconnect your Google ID.


    1. Sign into signin.method.me with your email address and password.

    2. In the top right-hand corner click on My Profile > Connected Accounts.

    3. Disconnect your Google account.

    4. Sign out of Method.

    5. Click on the Sign in with Google button in the bottom of the screen and fill in your credentials.

    6. You should then be taken into Method.
    7. For the Google Gadget, simply go to your inbox and click on the Sign Into Method link in the Gadget.  

        Success. Your Google ID is now re-linked to Method.

            Slight Delay with Google Calendar Sync

            Some customers may experience slower-than-usual automatic syncs with Google Calendar. We are aware of the issue and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. If you would like to manually sync your calendar data, please visit this Help Center article and follow the steps.

            As always, we'll provide an update as soon as we know more.

            Google Calendar sync should be back to normal. If you're still experiencing issues, please contact our Support team at 1.888.925.6238 ext. 2.

            Followed the proceedure above, but could not get my calendar to update.  Called support, and found out thawhen you do the proceeudre above, you are creating a new google calendar, so you will need to delete your old one and and use the new calendar going forward.
