    Outlook Plugin New Contacts

I've started adding contacts to company leads that I have in Method already using the outlook plug in.  The problem that I am having is that they are all going to secondary contacts as there is no main contact associated with each company yet.  Therefore when I go into method, there is no contact listed and it prompts me to list a main contact.  If I do so then I have a double entry of the contact in that company as the outlook plugin already completed one.

Is there a way to add new contact by outlook plug in and have it be the main contact listed in the Edit Lead screen?

    Hi Jon,

When you create a customer/company/lead in Method there is always a main contact associated with it (it's a required field). I'm not sure how you can have a company in Method with no main contact assigned to it. Can you expand a little bit on how you did this?

I imported a CSV of Customer Leads that did not have Contacts included.

    Answer

    Jon,

I understand your problem now and was able to replicate it on my account. Unfortunately I don't believe there is a way to add contacts straight to the main contact field from the Outlook plugin. A workaround could be to update your leads in Method by re-uploading the file with the field name Contacts included this time. You may have to manually add the contacts into the import file.

I will put a ticket in with the team to get this issue looked at. I'll also update this post if I find an easier way to get the result you need. Hope this helps!
