     Hey Mike,

We are going to do some digging here and I will post an update as soon as I find something. If we cannot replicate the problem I may have to get more information from you.

     Hey Mike,

So I had our guys look into this and we have a bunch of questions for you, this will help us find out whats going on.

1, What steps did you take to cause this problem.

2, What are your software versions of:

Outlook, Windows, Skype, Skype Outlook Add-in.

When we tried installing skype we had no problems.

3, Have you posted on the skype website?

Once I get this information, I can spend some more time looking into this.

     HI Ryan

    How's it going - here's the scenario:

1, What steps did you take to cause this problem.

New PC - Windows 7, Outlook 2007. Installed Skype Toolbar first - then Method.

I've disabled the standard Microsoft addins from OUtlook 2007 and that seems to have resolved the issue.

The issue that initially triggered the problem was an IMAP send/receive  - this sent but then suddenly wouldn't receive. This generated the error message that I initially sent you.

I then went into the OUtlook add ins - deactivated everything except Skype, Method and NOD ESET 32 anti-virus. This has solved the issue and I'm gradually reinstalling the other addins to see which triggers the error.

2, What are your software versions of:

Outlook, Windows, Skype, Skype Outlook Add-in.

    OUtlook 97

    Windows 7

    Skype - 4.2.0.169

    Outlook addin 1.40.0.4611

When we tried installing skype we had no problems.

3, Have you posted on the skype website?

    No, not yet

Once I get this information, I can spend some more time looking into this.

Further information on this - the crash appears to be triggered whan I open particular Outlook contacts.

A key contact that is causing the crash every time I open the file has a parfticularly long "display name" for her email field

    Tonya Lawrence (tonyalawrence@tjldesigns.com)

    But otherwise is unexceptional?

    Any help?

     Hey Mike,

Our team has looked into this issue and they are not able to reproduce this error, even with the long email address. If you are able to narrow it down to what the root cause was, please post and let us know.

     Hey Mike,

I just wanted to let you know a client of ours had the same problem and wrote in to me, below is what he let me know.

"I had the same problem today with this error.
What I found on my clients system / Outlook had a contact that had a value in the Phone number section  - under Radio. [i.e. in the contact details, you have the various information types - mobile / business / Radio / Pager etc...

Anyway - I removed the entry [probably a phone number  that was entered too quickly - it was without "+" or "00 and all was ok."

I hope this helps you resolve the problem you were having.
