Customize Screen makes copy of incorrect screen

    Customize Screen makes copy of incorrect screen

    When I customize a native method screen, I always rename it with an * at the end of the screen name. So New Activity becomes New Activity*

    Since the new release on Tuesday, when I edit a copy of a customized native method app screen such as New Activity* that had already been published, instead of copying my customized screen it makes another copy of the original screen and creates another New Activity(2)

    Hi Mahlon,

    My apologies for the late response. I'm not able to replicate this behaviour. Is this still an issue?

    If so, please provide me with a step-by-step walkthrough of how I can reproduce this.

    Create a copy of a native method screen such as new activity.

    Make some modifications and publish the screen.

    When you try to customize the newly published screen,sometimes it tries to make a copy of the original screen instead. It's not consistent, so you may need to try several times.

    Hi Mahlon,

    We recently addressed and issue with screen re-directs. The issue was forcing users to create a copy of the stock screen in order to make modifications instead of allowing them to modify the current copy. In this scenario, the default name for the copy would have been the name of the stock screen + '(2)' (or '(3)' or '(4)' etc...). I believe this may have been the issue that you were running into.

    Keep an eye on this and post back if you notice this occur again moving forward as of today.
