You can only click on the left 25%ish of the email field on the sign in screen. I entered my email address and tabbed to the password field. I then realized I forgot to add the ".com" and it wouldn't let me put the cursor in the text box at the end of the text I had already entered.

I have not thought this though in detail but what if you went to Customize>Users=Team1 not being able to sign in, When asked for a email put their emails in seperated by a comma.
Instead of Team1 put their first names instead? This way you still have their sign in name but also they would be able to see what is going on ...
