Hi Jacob,
Following up on Method_Danny's point. When you login to method, it checks if you have ever done a quickbooks sync. If you have not, it takes you to the quickbooks --> synchronization tablink so you can set up a sync.
The same logic still fires even if you are coming off a link generated via the api.

Well, I am testing against CRM data which can be manually entered without a QB sync. I have successfully tested getting customer and entity data, adding phone call event, etc.

@Jacob - Method requires QuickBooks though so if you haven't linked this account with a QuickBooks file, how are you testing this?

i have not. this is a default test system and i do not have a QB installation to test with. while our customers should have this setup, i believe we will not require a QB sync since we are only interested in the crm data.
forgive me for saying, but this still seems like a defect.

So, I was able to recreate a custom invoice and it now displays the service item information. Two more questions, as of now the first column on the estimate is the description, how can I add the item/part number as the first column, as show in the method website. Also, there is a column called U/M. How can I remove this ...

Have you ever done a quickbooks sync? If not you should follow the steps in the Method Initial Setup Guide. http://www.methodintegration.com/self-service-documentation.aspx
After the initial sync this problem should be solved
