Great to hear that it's a viable alernative. Shame, however, that it doesn't work on the mobile optimized version - it obviously gives a better experience on a tablet or phone. But, alas, our hands are tied until Google implements it. Paul

Just tried the gadget from my iPad and it works.  I was able to check email and add to activities. I would imagine that this would work on any tablet.  I did have to switch from gmail mobile to desktop.

Paul I am forcing tests and I agree that simple is better.   From what you describe here I think its just a training issue.  Since there is a fresh pull on each search the reload is already there.  

Thanks Mark. I find the stale data concept interesting. I'm going to challenge you on that one :). Is it because you are just testing, and beating it up, wheras in real-life use it wouldn't be perceived as stale? Contact info - this can be stale as you switch between tabs. If you go to contact info then to activities, then back to ...

I am seeing both of my "phone call outgoing" activities, and I know that's how that's supposed to be, and that's how I want it.  I have also created a new activity "Requested Catalog".  I don't add any additional information to this activity, it's just for me to see once I open their account. ...
