You are most likely receiving that message because you passed an empty field name.
My guess is that you split a comma separated string into an array, and the last field still had a "," after it.
For example:
field1,field2,field3,".Split(",")

Field Services is scheduled for roll out next week, provided that testing goes through smoothly. We want to get it out as soon as possible.
As for QuickBooks 9.0, provided the data fields for the Manufacturing and Field Service components are exposed via the SDK, then they will also be in Method.
