Hey Alex,
Dropdowns are sorted alphanumerically and unfortunately, you cannot specify otherwise.
Depending on how you setup the filter you can try using the Build selection list option.

I have run into this a few times now. I am trying to delete a custom screen and I am getting an error that says I can't because it is referenced in an action on one of the stock screens.
