The only way to sort a dropdown is to make the sorting field the first column of the dropdown. There unfortunately isn't a way to sort it by secondary fields, or a way to force a sort.

There are better, easier ways than script. Is the calculated field dynamic and unique for each record or is it a total calculation for all records? If it is unique for every record then the best and easiest solution is to store that value into a field in table and have it displayed in the report designer later; if it is the latter ...

It seems that everything looks fine. Can you send me a screenshot of the customization screen (on Advanced -> Step 1 of 5)? It could also be a browser issue, if so, your best option is to call our Method support team and ask them to walk you through it.
