QB items purchased info to Method tag

I am just learning to use Method and am trying to figure out the best way to track the different items/services purchased by my customers.

I can see the items purchased by each individual customer, but would like to have the ability to build a list based on the items purchased. For instance, if I need to send an email to all customers who purchased my "Training Manual #1", how would I create that list?

I'm guessing the best way would be to create a Tag with "Manual#1" and then build the list using that Tag. If that's the recommendation, what is the easiest way to translate QB sales of particular items to a Method Tags? I will need to find a way to do a bulk-edit for prior sales and also a way to do it for sales from this point forward.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello jdibona,

I'm so sorry for the late reply. I wanted to test some things out first.
Unfortunately, what you are asking doesn't currently exist in the stock screens of MethodCRM.
Furthermore, Tags at this point are associated with contacts (Help Center: Tags). You can implement tags with other tables, however that would require customization.

It is possible to create a button on an invoice that could tag a Contact with the different items, but you may run into problems later on with management of tags. I would imagine there being a number of tags you will eventually accumulate and what if you need to delete a subset of them specific to some criteria? For example, what if you want to remove tags that were only added between a certain time period? What if you only wanted a list of customers with a tag between a certain time period.

I can imagine this happening if you are using the list for mass emailing purposes. You probably don't want to email a customer that had bought one product four years ago.

I hope that makes sense, and once again, I'm sorry for my late reply.
