Hello everyone! This issue was sent to me directly in an email, but I wanted to post it to the forum so others can see what’s going on!
Issue:
When using the “add new button” (the button with the … periods on it) from the invoice screen > customer drop down box or the item dropdown box – the new customer or new item is not available in the drop down unless an entire refresh of the page is performed. Is it possible to have this list refreshed in the dropdown box without refreshing the entire application and returning to the point of work? This could be a very frustrating for a user.
Solution:
This is a known issue that we are currently working on. Here's the workaround until we resolve the issue:
If you created a new customer from the Customer:Job field on the New Invoice Screen using the ‘…’ icon, manually type the newly added customer's name into the Customer:Job field. This will force the dropdown list to refresh (without clicking the browser's refresh button) and the new customer's name will appear in the dropdown.
This workaround should work in all instances where you create a new record using the '...' icon. A fix is in the works and will be posted automatically to the site.
