    MisterBill-

When the map pop-up is displayed if you click on Show Options and then Plot Addresses with Directions and Optimize Route this should give you an optimized map.

    Re: Map - Google Maps

sorry forgot to reply to this one, i got it to work, one little snag i've found is it can be quite anoying that after i click optimize the route there isn't currently a backwards sync from the map so then i still have to manually re arange all the stops so the tech does them in the order from top to bottom.  if there's a way to get it to re adjust the order back into method MAN would that save some time.  I've refered about 5 companies to you so far and i'm about to send out my newsletter to 90 or so businesses that will be CRAZY not to do this, is there any type of unofficial referal program?

    MisterBill-

The only referal program we have is the MSP program.

I believe it may be possible to have the the order generated by Google maps to transfer back to the Work Order list or maybe potentially the calendar but it would be quite a bit of work to get something like this to work.

    MisterBill,

To clarify, the MSP program is not a referal program but a partner program.  We do not have a referal program.

    Hi MisterBill

We are a Method reseller and part of method's MSP program.  We do have an unoffical referal program.  If you'd like discuss it, give us a shout.

You might also try reaching out to any of Method's Solution Provider partners.  Some of them may also have referal programs.

Danny why wouldn't method see any value in doing some type of referal program pretty much every industry i've ever seen offers this to some sort of degree?

    MisterBill,

It isn't so much that we don't see that value but rather that we don't have the processes in place to handle such a referal program.  This may be something we do down the road but isn't an option right now.  As Mark suggested, you are more than welcome to work with one of our MSPs.

    Have a great day.

    Re: Map - Google Maps

I suppose pre calculating 1 billion steight line distances is not that big of an issue. (which is what that database must contain)

But do it for actual directions, would mean calling a directions engine, a little over 2 billion times, being as the times would be different for each direction. Clearly that is out of the question for most people, 'we' certainly cant really do that against Googles data; Google I guess could, but its still a lot of work.

So I would hazard a guess that such a source doesnt exist. GPS devices etc will calculate it live (or a small cache) against a network map.

Why do want it anyway? What is your application? Can you use something like the Google Maps API (ie are you showing a map?) If so you could use the current table to get a estimate, and then only run a actual directions request for the small sample, and store that.

Matthew, I saw your website Quick Quote and it looks perfect to me. I read through the comments above and couldn't quite figure out the steps to set it up myself. How did you end up doing it? We have a company that delivers storage containers and we base the price on delivery zip-code. Thanks in advance for your help,

    Ross
