Printed route list does not match sort order

    Printed route list does not match sort order

    Hi guys,

    I was trying to print my route list for the first time today and noticed a problem, possible bug.

    When the work order list is filtered to the jobs I have scheduled for a certain day, they are in a certain order, based on the route order that I specified. Well, when I check all of the jobs to print them on a route list, the order on the printed route list is not the same as the order on the work order list, which is in the sort order.

    Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if this is a bug.

     Bryan,

    The default route list template " FieldService_RouteListV3" is sorted by DueDateStart and then SortOrder.

    To change this, follow the steps below:

    1. Edit the template with Method Report Designer.
    2. Click on the Detail band.
    3. In the Property Grid in the bottom right look for Sort Fields, select it and click ...
    4. Select 1 GroupField
    5. Click the up arrow, 0 GroupField should now have the FieldName property set to SortOrder.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Click Save.

    Your route list should now sort by Sort Order.

     Michael,

    when I click the ... to open the Sort field editor, then only choice I have is 0 Group Field, there is not a 1 Group Field.

    So, I tried to add a group field and then change the Field name to Sort Order, but that choice is not there. I think it is becasue the Activity Job Items table is the only table available. The sort order field is under the Activity table.

    If I am correct in saying this, how do I get the Sort order choice to show up?

     Michael,

    I figured it out. I was in the Detail 1 bar, not the Detail bar. I found it. I will test it now and it should work.
