Method Community

Was thinking of a idea for inventory and barcodes came to mind.  I use to have a program that took the data, like item data, and conveted it to a barcode.  I was wondering if this would be a issue with Method. 

The idea is to have a rugged PDA with barcode reader on it. When the tech needed to enter parts, they would look at a list of common items and simply scan that into method. Or when we are going to service the rodent boxes we could put a barcode on the box so when the tech comes to service it, they could barcode that box and it would bring up data about the box.

Using a barcode reader should be possible with Method since essentially all a barcode reader does is scan a barcode and enter the number equivalent into a field. I see the possibility of creating a Mobile screen in Method and having the tech touch (Click) the field they want the barcode to be entered into and then scanning the barcode and then having a Search button that would bring up the information about that item.
