For version 2.1.40 of Method Outlook Plug-in, here are the updates:

1. New, sleek Method icons.
2. New, quick and painless auto-updatable installation.
3. Updated ribbon interface for Outlook 2010
4. Resolved an issue with saving synchronization settings for multiple accounts.
5. Fully compatible with upcoming CRM update *

* Attention: Older versions of Method Integration Outlook Plug-In will not be fully compatible with new CRM.

To download the most recent version of Method Outlook Plug-In, follow the steps below:

1. Remove previous versions of Method Outlook Plug-In.
2. Get new version of plug-in by downloading the following file http://www.methodintegration.com/MethodOutlookAddIn/MethodOutlookAddIn.exe
3. Run the installation file as Administrator.
4. Follow the prompts.

I installed Method Outlook Plug-In 2.0 v2.1.40 update (run as Administrator)

Win7 64 bit patched to current, Office 2010 SP1

I am getting these errors when starting Outlook and similar when doing various actions

I reinstalled serveral times and tried disableing all other add-ins with no improvement.

Inserted screen caps are not saved. How should I send them?

They are long messages like

"Error found in Cuustom UI XML of "Method In...."

Hi Kerry,

Thank you for letting us know about this problem. Quick solution to this problem is to go to File->Options->Advanced->Developers section->Un-check Show add-in user interface errors option->Click OK.

Proper solution will be available for download soon.

 I have tried to install this version and earlier versions and get the same error.  The details are:

An error occurred trying to download 'https://www.methodintegration.com/MethodOutlookAddIn/Web/OutlookMethodSync.vsto'.

See the setup log file located at 'C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Temp\VSDAD64.tmp\install.log' for more information.

I have set it as a trusted site on IE and run it as an administrator.  Win 7-64bit machine.

Would it be possible for you to send in that log file to c.ridgway@methodintegration.com.  If you can please try to download and install the plugin again but from another browser.

Do you have any antivirus or firewall software running?  If so please disable this and try to run the installer again - please post back if this fixes it for you.
