Edit Series Error Message

    Edit Series Error Message

    The following message pops up when I click "Edit Series..." from the work order list screen:

    The basis this service was created from is not available on this page.

    Have the administrator edit this page and edit the Reoccuring-Object to allow for the basis.

    Appointments already created will not be affected unless Insert Recurring Dates is clicked and 'Delete existing occurances on insert' is checked.

    How can I fix this problem?

    Hi Steven,

    Are you using a standard screen or a customized screen? If you are using a customized screen can you test your standard screen. Does this happen for all work orders or only some work orders? Can you post or email me a screenshot of what your recurring dates tab looks like.

    Hi Michael,

    This is a customized screen that we paid for very recently. I am not going to switch to the standard screen especially if we paid for a customizaiton. Yes, this is occuring whenever I open any series. The message that I posted earlier is exactly what the error message states.

    Please advise...

    Hi Steven,

    I have had another user report this issue as well and am in the process of trying to duplicate it.

    In situations where a custom screen is causing an issue we suggest testing out the original screen just to rule out any potential issue with customization, this can normally be done by simply going to Customize > Screens and clicking View on the original screen.

    FYI

    I had a few of my franchisees having the same problem and as Iooked into the problem I found in each case the role was not defined in the user set up.

    Hi Boyd,

    Thanks for the info. Are you refering to step 5 of editing a user? Does setting a role fix this issue for you?

    Yes and yes, it is step 5 and in each case it solved the problem for us.

    Boyd- Thanks for the info Big Smile

    Steven- Can you to Customize > Users edit the users having this issue and ensure that for step 5 that you have atleast one role checked.
