Want to concatenate Opportunity Name with Customer Company Name to create unique Opportunity identifier

Say my customer company names are Alpha, Beta, etc.  I have opportunities that come in.  So, maybe I am going to dig a ditch through a field for Alpha.  I will call the opportunity Ditch Through Field.  Once that Opportunity has been named, I want a field (perhaps called Full Opportunity Name)  to automatically be updated with Alpha re Ditch through Field.  Possible?

    Answer

    Hi JameQ,

This is possible. In Method there is a Character Function action that has the ability to concatonate to text values together, you can place this action on the Lose Focus event of the Name field so that once the field is populated and the user navigates away from it, it combines the values and then you can place that new value on a field in the screen.
