    A different web form error

    I received this error message at the top of a new web form submission e-mail.  I am using a gmail e-mail address in my Method setup.

     

    Dear Method customer, while sending you an email we have received a following error from your SMTP server: 'The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.5.1 Authentication Required. Learn more at '. The original message to be sent to you was as follows:

    Please advise.  Thanks, Gary

    Do you have Use SSL set to Yes in your Method email settings?

     Yes, Use SSL is checked Yes

    Hi Gary,

    Are you able to send emails from within Method? One other thing you might want to check is if you edit your Web Form and go to steps 6 and 7 and make sure that the from email matches the user account that is setup in the email preferences for method.

     The email address did not match so I made that change.  Tested once and it was fine though prior tests and actual form submissions did not produce that error.  I'll keep an eye on it. 

     

    On another topic, is there a way to delete several activities and opportunities at once?  We get solicitations via our web form and they create unwanted activities and opportunities that need to be deleted.  Thanks, Gary

    We send the first 50 emails for you if your settings aren't set up properly, so that could be the reason why it worked before.

    Currently there is no standard screen that allows for deleting of multiple activities or opportunities at the same time.
