    posting time card transactions

    Greetings,

I want to keep track of my time on the jobs and from i have learned i have to be a employee in quickbooks to do this.

.  I made myself a employee and toled quickbooks that im a owner.  When im in method, i enter job cost into the work order and all the job costing date works great.

Quickbooks toled me to go to banking and write a check to zero it out the time date in payroll but it keeps the job cost information. it shows the jobs that i did but there are no cost amounts.

    1. Is this the correct way of doing job costs for a owner? any suggestions?

    2. Should method sent the amount fo time worked to quick books?

And 3. I did not see this transaction in the new Quickbooks Dashboard in Method, is that correct as well?

    thanks!

    Hi John,

Method does send the Time Tracking times to QB, in Field Services do you have anything listed under the Post To QB tab link?

Time Tracking entries do not show up in the QuickBooks Dashboard.

    Michael,

Yea its in there. Has the name and duration. I learned in quickbooks that in order for me to track costs i need to cut myself a check. Not a payroll check.  Just a reg check and I zero it out. I do this from the banking menu in quickbooks.  Now Method is moving these trasactions to QBD but i dont see a cost or amount.  I do see the Qty.   It seems that Method only transfer the duration not the hourly wage of the employee.

    Is this correct?

    Answer

    John,

That's correct. Looking at the Time/Enter Single Activity screen in QB, those are the only fields that Method transfers over when it comes to time tracking.
