    Method Scheduling and Invoicing add-on

I am trying to use Method for QB online. I am a service business using your scheduling and invoicing add-on. ( integrating with Google Maps).

With the address field filled in with "Name, street address, city, state, zip" and then placed into the calendar, it won't map/route with google. The only way I have found it to work is to remove the "Name" from the first line and replace it with the street address. Of course when I do that I can't generate an invoice with a "Name" on it.

    Please advise

I was able to duplicate this issue with some addresses. I have put in a suggestion to update the way the address to map is built. If or when this change gets made to the standard screens I will update this forum post but currently I have an ETA on this.

This issue should now be resolved on the standard screen.

If you click the Settings & Preferences link in the dashboard, and click on the Mapping tab in the window that pops up you should see an option for Include first address line when plotting addresses?, which by default is unchecked, this will toggle if the first line is included when plotting.

all of a sudden in the last 72 hours the check box you describe no longer functions as intended i have been mapping columns correctly for all of my customers for a few months now with no issues.  Till all a sudden today it continues to include the first line item in the address the name thus making me manually delete all the names to get it to actually map.  I've re checked the box saved tried, then un checked and still no dice.

    MisterBill-

I believe I am able to duplicate this issue. I am going to look into it further.

    Answer

@MisterBill - we checked it out yesterday.  It looks like only the Calendar screen was designed to handle the "Include First Line" mapping preference.  The Work Order List was never designed to handle it (this was a miss on our side).

So my assumption is that previously you were using the calendar screen to do mapping, and then you recenty started doing mapping out of the Work Order List, and that's where you noticed the problem? I hope this is the case, otherwise, I need to search for a new theory!

Last night we pushed out an update to the standard Work Order List screen, so assuming you are still using the standard Work Order List screen, this issue should be resolved for you.

    Can you please confirm?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention,

    Paul
