    Learning Curve

I really like Method and the functionality that it has.  I think it is the right level of functionality but yet practical but we are really struggling with learning it and all of its capabilities.  I have listened to a couple of the webinars, been to the help center, looked at the documents, been on the Forums.  Can you share with me how much time was needed to learn just the basic functionality of Method?  I want to customize a few screens but no new tables or anything that requires Pro.  What did you use as a tool for your staff to learn the product?  We have found that the user guide is not updated and can not be used.  How much consulting time did you end up paying for?  I want to make sure I am giving Method a fair evaluation before I move on to looking at other products but it seems as though it is taking way to much time to learn the system and I do not want to create materials from scratch to give the sales force a user guide.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated as I am at the end of my patience.

There is no specified amount of time required to learn Method. The learning comes by using it, reading the forums and in some cases, getting a consultant to help get your skills up quicker.

Customizing a screen can be simple depending on what you need to do. I'm new to Method as of March and my learning consisted of reviewing the webinars, looking at the help center for reference but mostly making a copy of a screen and looking at how it was built.

Time is the most important resource with learning Method. Customer's who lack time utilize our forums to get a quick answer or hire a consultant for short periods to help them understand the in's and out's of a particular screen or function. We're doing our best to keep our user guide up to date but the product evolves quickly so we rely on customer's looking at our blog and release notes for updates.

Big additions like the Google Gadget or the list builder get quite a bit of support from us. We did a webinar for the Google Gadget plus a muti-page help article. The list builder got a help center article and I'm sure we'll cover the new features in a webinar soon.

We definitely plan to offer more webinars on specialized topics in future and we've got an updated user guide in the works. The user guide may not be 100% up to date but the core functionaliy has not changed.

I hope you reconsider and give us another chance as you won't find better QuickBooks integration anywhere else.
