Documents in job list

    Documents in job list

    Is there a way to add a link to documents that pertain to each job on the crm job list as a document column. This will help us access the document automatically through the job list.

    Hi Dottie,

    Are you referring to Job Types table or the Customer List screen? Just trying to understand what you're defining as jobs and how you're viewing them.

    I am reffering to the job list screen. We have separated our list screens. One list is our customer list and the other is our job list. I would like a column with the field Documents in the job list that has all the links of the documents uploaded next to each job on the list. Instead of going inside each job, I would like to have it automatically on the list next to each job so when we look at the list of jobs on the job list screen we can click on the document links uploaded directly from the job list.

    You can add a new column to your Job List screen which can have an action, for example, that takes you to another screen which lists documents, such as the Document List screen. However, there is no way to list links for all the documents you have attached to a specific Job in the new column. This is because each row in a grid can only hold one "line" of data so you can't have multiple links listed below each other for one row/job. You can potentially create a link to only one document, or as stated above go to another screen depending on how your actions are setup. But even so you may need to create a new screen for your Job List. Hope this helps explain things a little better.
