What is the link you use for http://urlforportal

How do i do this?  Is there an automatically generated link?

    Portal Link

When writing your email template, you may want to include a link to the contacts portal.  Why is this useful?  Imagine sending out a a mass email to contacts with overdue invoices.  Rather then having them type in the address for your portal to pay the invoice, you can supply them with a tiny URL to login and pay more quickly.  The List Builder will automatically create a unique URL for you provided that you have specific text written in your email.  The text you would need to include in your email is http://urlforportal. List Builder will replace this text with a miURL automatically and take the contact to the Recent Transactions tab link in your Contacts Portal.

    Willy,

The 'http://urlforportal' link is what can be put into an email to direct Customers and Contacts to the portal.  The 'http://urlforportal' is merely a place horder in the email.  In your other thread where I'm helping you to create a portal link, the action 'Create short Method URL' creates a link, places it into an action result that is used to replace 'http://urlforportal'.  When you look at the actions, right below 'Create short Method URL', there is the 'Character Function' action.  This action is used to replace 'http://urlforportal' with the actual link.  See the screen shot below.  These actions are used to automatically generate the link.
