Well that's not good is it. My mistake I should've tested this before running you through all the steps. I actually just learned something new, the dropdown field in the LeadStatus table cannot be modified. This is because when a Lead is converted into a Customer our system automatically switches the LeadStatus to Qualified and puts a timestamp on the record stating when that Lead was converted, then does the sync to QuickBooks. So if we allowed the dropdown to be modified then someone can potentially delete the Qualified value which will screw up our automated process.
In your case I would suggest using Opportunities to keep track of what stage your leads are on, and you can use the Opportunity Stage field on the New Opportunity screen. You can modify these values by Viewing the CRM_OpportunityStageList screen.
Just to clarify, these values are only stored in Method as Leads/Opportunities/Activities/Cases/etc, don't sync with QuickBooks as they don't exist. For QB 2013 users, the leads screen is much different than the Method leads screen and it still does not sync with Method.
