Time Tracking Grid labor hrs x pay rate

    Time Tracking Grid labor hrs x pay rate

    How can I create an additional column that calculates the duration hours in the time tracking grid x a pay rate per employee so when I enter the hours I can automatically see how much of the employees paycheck went towards that job. I can pull the information from quickbooks or create a math formula in the time tracking grid to reflect the amount per employee entry with a total at the bottom that will filter by employee or job. Is this possible? How can this be done?

    Hi dottie,

    You can add the Bill Rate and Amount fields to the screen as well as the grid. Before the Save action you can perform the calculation and populate it in the Amount field. You can then create your own filters for the grid to filter by Employee. *Note: Depending on how you set the job duration value you may have to create another basic malth calculation.

    I do not see the bill rate as an available field to add the the time tracking screen and grid and to the employee list.

    Hi Dottie,

    Are we talking about the same QuickBooks_TimeTracking screen? To access it go to the QuickBooks Tab Group (top right of the screen) > Click on the Employees tab > then click the Time Tracking tab link. The fields exist in the TimeTracking table so they can be added to the screen and grid, see my screenshot below.

    Double check your TimeTracking table to ensure the Bill Rate and Amount fields exist in the table, if not then it's possible someone may have deleted them. If they do exist then just click Finished Editing Fields, then go back to your screen and try again.

    The bill rate an the amount fields are not in the time tracking table. I do not see the linked fields to add them to the time tracking table. Where can I find them to add them.

    If you don't already have them then go ahead and add them as new Money fields to the table. You'll then be able to add them to the screen and grid.
