    Tracking additional customer data

    I'm brand new to this app so please excuse my ignorance...

    I sell software and for each of my customers, I need to track the Program, VersionSerial Number and date of purchase for every license they buy. Some customers may purchase multiple licenses per year.

    I have created a screen/table that allows me to enter all four pieces of information and it has a drop-down where I can choose the Customer to whom the serial number belongs.

    How do I get all of the serial numbers with corresponding programversion and date of purchase to show up in a tab for each customer?

    Hi jdibona,

    Do you want to show this information on it's own tab, when I say tab I'm referring to the tab to select before selecting a tab link which points to a screen, i.e. Customers/Activities/Cases tabs. If you want, you can show this information on your Edit Customer screen just by adding another grid to the screen in its own section, the grid will be linked to your table and you can show all the fields from the table on that grid. Alternatively you can just add the grid to your custom screen. Let me know if I'm not understanding your question and please elaborate.

    I added a grid but I need to limit the data shown in the grid to the current customer. Is there a way to do that with a Filter or something?

    Yes this can be done by adding a filter to the grid, however, what screen did you add the grid onto? The Edit Customer screen or your custom screen? If you added it to the Edit Customer screen then you can add a filter where the Customer Record ID is equal to the Current Screen Active Record ID.
