    Field size

How do I change the size of a field after it was created?

    Re: Field size

Can you please clarify which type of field you are asking about? Do you mean a field in a grid? Or do you mean a field that was added directly to the screen? Also, are you talking about a customized screen or a stock screen?

Text fields, either in existing screen or new ones.

For example you have a state field, that you know only two letters are going in, but the field has room for 40, how can I change this after is created.

    Answer

    Hi Marcelo,

First, find the screen you would like to edit in the Customize > Screens tab link and click EditTo shrink a text field try increasing the amount of columns in the edit screen to five (this is the maximum). In the current design it is generally more visually appealing to have five columns on your screens. From here you can shrink or expand fields over multiple columns or down to just one column. In this case, try shrinking the text field so that it takes up 1 of 5 columns. See the screenshot below to see what I'm talking about. The arrows are pointing to where to click to make the screen five columns and also where to click to expand and contract a text field.
