Vacation Hours Seconds Accrual Field - Employee Table

    Vacation Hours Seconds Accrual Field - Employee Table

    When I add this field to our Employee List screen the value of the field is blank.  Does QuickBooks permit the use of this field in Method?  If so, can someone help me understand why the field is blank for each employee?

    Hello Steven,

    Unfortunately Quickbooks does not allow 3rd party apps to access that field. As a matter of fact, the whole Employee table is READ-ONLY in Method. This is a limitation of the QuickbBook's SDK. If you need to update an employee's information, you will have to do it through Quickbooks.

    Let me correct myself.


    Unfortunately Quickbooks does not allow 3rd party apps to access that field. The same goes for the other vacation related fields in the Employee table. This is a limitation of the Quickbook's SDK. If you need to update an employee's Vacation time, you will have to do it through Quickbooks.


    Here is a link showing the Supported Objects and Operations for QuickBooks Desktop. If you click on Employee, you'll notice that those fields are not available.
