I see on the Help Center (http://www.methodintegration.com/method/kb.aspx?folder=methodcrm&article=How-Google-Calendar-sync-works&id=214) how Calendar Appointment Fields are mapped to/from Method & Google.
I'm working on customizing our Field Services Work Order (Activity) process. Specifically, I need to assign multiple users - resources - to an Activity. But since Method doesn't allow this (from what I can tell it's a 1:1 relationship), I plan to create new individual Activities and assign one to each user so the Method generated calendar for each employee is updated to show their WO assignment. This wwould work just fine but the problem is the current appointment field mapping to Google calendar is insufficient.
The Method Appointment Type, Contact, Contact Phone >> Google Event Title is not what I need. I need the ability to build my own custom Event Title, Description, etc.
Not having this ability is keeping me from evolving from our paper-based company calendar to an electronically created/managed calendar within Method.
Am I missing something? If there's a way I can control the calendar Event Title and Description in the current version, please let me know.
If not, I would think this should be a very easy feature to implement for Method devs and should only involve the code that interacts with the Google Calendar API along with adding a field or two to the Activity table.
Thx
