Pre bill using method

    Pre bill using method

    I am new to method.  In my business we pre bill at the first of the month. I am trying to figure out how get this set up? The services are created already but not the invoices.

    Julie,

    One option is to create a billing "service" assigned to a billing crew for each of the customers for the first of every month. Then on the first of the month, you mark them as completed and create the invoice.

    Is this a good solution for your organization? If not, please elaborate on your current process.

    Are you utilizing the Field Service Operations or Scheduling & Invoicing app by any chance?

    It will just be a lot of work.  I have over 700 customers entered in Method.  So, going back to create a separate billing service for each would be very time consuming.  Also, I have some customers on end of month billing.  I have been pushing off on using method because of this.
    I am set up for utilizing the field service operations.  I am not sure about the other you mentioned.

    Alright so you're using the Field Service app, that's a good start. I can help you figure out how to invoice your customers but need more info from you first. How do you currently determine who's billed at the first of the month and who's billed at the end of the month? Do you need the process to be fully automated, if so it wouldn't be possible as you can't schedule invoices to be sent out on the first of every month. However, you can automate it through a trigger such as a button being clicked.

    With customization you can achieve what you're looking for, the amount of customization required depends on what exactly you need to happen. We can definitely guide you in the right direction but in order to fully scope out what you need and recommend the best solution you should really speak with one of our Consultants.

    yes it is.  I am not sure how to separate the customers in method. in quickbooks I have it labled the first of the month the prebill get billed and then the first of the month the end of month get billed. please let me know.how to get started.
