I have table with Title, yet never get the option to associate it with the Title field.  How do I do this?

Hi Matthew,

By default, there is a field called Salutation in the Customer table. The Customer table houses both customers and leads and this field is usually used for titles. The field is available on our stock New Lead and Edit Lead screens. See my screenshot below. Is this what you are looking for? If not, can you provide a little more detail as to why you need a new table for titles and what you're using it for?

Yes, but I am talking about Title as in President or Project Manager, etc., not the honoric or salutation.

Maybe I am missing something here.  Are you suggesting we put a job title in the honorific or salutation field?  Where then do we put the honorific or saluation?

Consider the following contact:

Dr. Suzie Smith

President/CEO

Successful Corporation

123 Success Blvd

Big City, BC

Where do you put Dr. and where do you put President/CEO?

And the reason I am asking is that I see on some pages a Title field but it does not appear to be accessible during import.

My mistake. I was thinking of salutation instead of title. The Title field that you are seeing is stored in the Contacts table. In order to be able to import leads with titles, you can add a title field to the Customer table and map this field to the title field on your import file. Once you have done so, you'll need to customize your New Lead and Edit Lead screens to utilize the field on the screen. Check out this similar forum post. Let me know if you have any more questions.
