Method Community

We are considering using Magento Community for our next ecommerce platform due to the fact there is a tool called Webgility that synchs with Quickbooks (which would obviously then synch with Method.)

Upon deeper review, Webgility has numerous complaints and we have not found an alternative reliable eCom/QB integration tool.

So my question reverses the above scenario...is it possible to integrate ecommerce with Method (which would obviously then synch with QB?)

We simply want to pull in web sales as Invoices and Customers at the least. Unfortunately I do not know enough about API's to make this determination myself.

All thoughts are appreciated.

The short answer is yes so long as the service provides an access point (API, Connection String, Etc).  What's needed is a custom integration bridge.  This can be accomplished with a simple windows program or web application.  In this scenario the orders would go from Magento > Method > QuickBooks and because it's a custom application you have complete control over how the data is mapped.

As LaCrews suggested you will need to create a custom bridge between Magento and Method, that whenever something of interest on the magento side happens interacts with the api to update method and vice -versa

To take it a step further, do you think that Method could then be customized, or an App built, to work within Method to perform as an order management/fullfillment application, such as OMX OrderMotion?

We've already done work around this type of solution.  There are lots of possibilities.
