new activity error message

    new activity error message

    Greetings,

    Getting this message when I press the new activity button while in acvity list screen.

    Could not find field 'CRMActivityDefaultActivityType'. Could not find field 'CRMActivityDefaultActivityType'.

    Hi John, 

    You may just have to regenerate the Activity table. To do so, go to Customize>Tables/Fields and click Edit Fields... for the Activity table. Finally, just click Finished Editing FieldsIf this does not clear the error, repeat the same steps for other related tables such as the Entity table. Errors like this often happen when you are editing fields in a table and move to a different part of the CRM without closing the table first (i.e. clicking Finished Editing Fields). Let me know if this solves the issue!

    I tried what you said and its still there.

    I even filled out the defaults for activities and it still did not work.

    I think this could be a issue in relation to new activitie screen.

    qbo>home>my crm preferences.  I set all the defaults and they dont save.

    going to this screen and i get this message,

    Action Sequence:1

    There has been an error during the action process.

    Hi John,

    Can you email me the Company Account name and activate the MethodSupport user? To do so, go to Customize>Users and click the Active check box next to the MethodSupport user. Thanks.

    For anyone following this post, the field CRMActivityDefaultActivityType can be found in the Users table. Regenerating this table solved the issue.
