    Email Template

I have a custom field in the ItemService table called URL. It's for entering the URL of a link to download a brochure.

Is it possible to insert this into an email template, but hide the link and label it 'Download'?

I have tried using the standard link button on the template editor and editing the HTML.

    Thanks.

Update: I must have had something wrong in the HTML first time round as this is now working.

    Re: Email Template

Just a couple of quick ones.

When displaying date fields on a template is there anyway of removing the time element?

How are multiple line items, on an estimate for example, displayed within a template?

    Hi Andrew,

Are you using merge fields to bring date fields and estimate line items into the email template? I'm not sure what you mean by how multiple line items are displayed on an email template, can you elaborate a little more on what your end goal is? I'll have to look into how to format the date differentlyI'll post back when I have an update. Thanks!

    Re: Email Template

    Jason,

thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm using merge fields to replace fields from the EstimateLine table, but I'm guessing this will only pull through the first record found that matches the filter.

    Andrew,

You may need to add additional actions to replace merge fields that pull data from the EstimateLine table. You can find replace merge field options within the Character Function action. Below is an example from the stock Invoice screen.

    Jason,

thanks. How would I then pull multiple lines into one template?

    Re: Email Template

    Andrew,

I've been told that this is possible, but may be a little tricky. You may have to build a table using HTML on the email template, and then loop through the EstimateLine table and place the values into that table. Our in-house consulting team has done similar projects in the past, let me know if you would like me to put you in touch.
