Default Activity Status Not Working

    Default Activity Status Not Working

    Hello Support,

    Even though our users have the Defaut Activity Type and Status set the Status does not set properly in a new activity form. It does seem the activity type is set but the status is not. Please check the activity screen for populating default activty values. Thank You.

    Sorry to hear your experiencing a problem.

    In order to troubleshoot it better I am going to need to know a bit more information:

    1. Has the New Activity screen been customized at all?

    • By default Method populated the Activity Type with Other and ActivityStatus with Not Started.

    2. Have you customized the list of options that are available to users in the Type or Status field?

    3. Have your users modified their CRM preferences?

    • You can find this on the Home tab > My CRM Preferences

    Nelson,

    The new Activity is method default ans has not been modified. The default activity status of Not Started is not setting. I belive it used to and is not anymore. We have not modified the status list however we have added some activity types. Users have modified the CRM preferences under My CRM Preferences screen and have set both a default activity type and status that they would like to use. I hope this helps!

    Hey jwarren,,

    Can you email us your Company Account name and activate the MethodSupport user? 

    To do so, go to Customize>Users and click the Activecheck box next to the MethodSupport user. 

    Feel free to reference this thread in the email so the support analyst can have all the necessary details.
