Screen Designer not working

    Screen Designer not working

    I have been adding a new section to an screen, it was working fine for the last couple weeks, but today went I open the screen to redesing it . the screen window is only 60% it does not allow me to max it, went I click on any field they dessapear from the screen, went I roll the screen down to the bottom , the left side where the tool are, do not roll down along with the right side, making impossible to pick item and moving them over. Any Advice

    Hello Sergio,
         My recommendations would be to try another browser.  The Screen Designer works well in Firefox or Chrome and doesn't work well in Internet Explorer.  You can also try clearing your browser's cache/history.  In Screen Designer, you can also right-click anywhere to reload the designer, which can help.  Post back and let me know if this helped.

        Would you be able to post screenshots so I can see what is appearing and not appearing on your Screen Designer?

    This soluction work well , I try crome and I was still having a problem, but went I used firefox all the issues went away.

    In an other issue, went I try to change the background color in a section under a screen design, it does not work. I pick a screen section , I edit the section an I pick a background color from the Picker, then I save the changes and publish the screen but the background color stay white. Any idea why I can not change the baground color.

    Hello Sergio,

        I don't know of any issues with saving background colours, nor could I find any.  To really test it, I would have to take a look at your screen designer. I would be looking to see if the hexadecimal colour code(#ffffff) saved in the Edit screen.  I would choose your colour and Click Save & Close.  Then re-open the screen and see if the colour saved in the Edit screen. 

        It wcould be that you are editing one screen and viewing another.  This happens, even to me, from time to time.

    I just find out  that in order to be able to change the color for a section.the section can not be set in tabs under the advance edit. The color work fine if the section run under each other, but the color do not work if the section is divide in tabs.

    Also how can I set a call for action for a pop up window to open up and  advice me to save any changes made to any section before moving from one screen to another. Just In case a add new information to any section under a screen but I forget to save it. Went I try it to move to a new screen i will like to have a window pop up to advice me to save the changes. I try it to see the webminar  call for action part one. But it does not load up.

    Hello Sergio,
          It looks like you are correct with the background colour not working when you have 'Show in Tabs' selected.

        For your popup question, there are two commands you can use on buttons 'Show Message' and 'Conditional Warning'.  Show Message will give you a pop-up with Yes - No or Ok - Cancel.  Then you can set an Action Result that you can use with a Start Condition Statement.  Say, for example if the user clicked 'OK', you store the value (which is 'true') and have the Start Condition Statement check the value and run actions if the Action Result is 'true'.  If they clicked 'Cancel', don't do anything.
         I don't know of a way to check if information has been changed and not saved when moving between screens. 

         The webinars can be tricky to run.  I would reload the GoToMeeting codex and try again.  I have found that you have to wait a couple of minutes for the video to buffer and/or load before you can play it.  Our Help Center has up-to-date information that you can use, which you can find here.
