    Textbox "Show in HTML editor"

Using a Textbox with the "Show in HTML editor" option checked, the "Number of input lines" does not appear to change the input window size, only the background behind it.

Is the HTML editor hard-coded to only 7 lines and cannot be resized, or what other issues could I have?

    Hello,

The Number of input lines is not for resizing the HTML editor.  Instead it resizes a normal textbox. The option is beside the HTML editor option, but does not affect the HTML editor.  The background is changing most likely because the style/CSS of the page is changing when you change the number of lines, but not the HTML editor object.

The HTML editor looks to have a default size.

Re: Textbox "Show in HTML editor"

Hi Greg, Thanks for the straight answer. However this is highly disappointing given other possible customizations in Method, since there are obviously many uses for an HTML input window that has more than 7 input lines, and this clearly affects a user's efficiency in using such screens.

Please consider this an official request for that functionality, and I also suggest clearer documentation on the customization window in the meantime since these two options which are incompatible appear side-by-side.

    Hopeful thanks!

    Hello Philip,

I can put in a feature request for the ability for a user to increase the visible typing area of an HTML editor object on a screen.  I know scroll bars can be seen as a usability issue once you type over seven lines.   If you ask a developer, I suspect they will tell you it is from a third-party and Method doesn't have much control over the editor.

    Philip,

There is also the HTML full screen view button.  It is the icon that looks like a little blue screen in the top bar of the HTML editor.

Thanks Greg, I missed that the first time -- that's a useful solution in the meantime.
