has anything changed i now cannot set up my gmail mail server thru method they are all failing

Hello,

    Give the Method Support line a call at 1-888-925-6238 x2.  We can lhelp diagnose the problem.  I can also point you to our Help Center article on setting up an email provider.  I am aware of no changes to the email setting that would cause issues with Gmail.

I was having some trouble too. Try using the information below. Let me know if it works.

Server Adress: smtp.gmail.com

Username: (type your full email adress here)

Password: (Double check that you are using the correct password too)

Port: 587

Use SSL?: Yes

Those are the correct gmail settings.  smtp.gmail.com is the Gmail server address.  Port 587 is used as the default port for gmail accounts.  You can leave the Port blank if you like.  

I have not heard of anything changing in Method that would affect the emails.  Google may have changed something that is deflecting the emails.  Are emails not being sent?  Are they appearing returned in your inbox?
