    pictures on reports

    Greetings,

Say i take a picture of a broken tree branch and I want to instert that picture for that customer's estimate or report in method.

    Is this possible?

I was looking at the picture field in method but it looks like its designed for a static picture for every report and not able to change.

Ok I tried to do this again and below is what I have done.

    1. Added Picture field to the estimate table and named it picture1

    2. Added this field to the estimate screen.

3, Uploaded a web address from Picasa that has the desired picture.

    3. Added a picture box to the estimate report and Data Binded that to the Picture1 field

    4. Still no picture.

    Hello,
I checked and this definitely is possible.  I would need more time to figure out how to do it.  Can you clarify some of your steps.  How are you uploading a web address?  Are you uploading under Document… button -> Upload a new document?

To make a long story short I looked at the grid in Documents and took those instuctions and applied that to show up in a estimate.  I put the field to upload the picture in the estimate screen then took that same field and put that in the estimate report.

Make sure your pics are small or you will print out 20 reports.

    John,

My basic idea was to drag an empty Picture Box onto the screen.  I would go to the Data Binding option for the picture box.  I would select a text field on the screen that had the image URL (for simplicity sake).  I didn't get it to appear.  I'm thinking the Image value is (none) and is blocking the data binding.  I'll have to keep on trying to get it to go.

have been told it is possible, but it can be tricky.
