    Grid Dropdown Filter Issue

    I'm running into an issue with one of my dropdown fields in a grid.  In my Work Order Activities it has an option for Customer Equipment.  It will not filter the choices to just the current customer.  Instead its showing the entire table of equipment.

    When I go into the screen and review the grid, the dropdown will not allow a filter nor will it allow a second column (which is the next thing I need help with).  I've added an Equipment Location to the Customer equipment table so that we can seperate our customer's equipment into locations within the same shop.  I can not add location as a second field in the dropdown.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Shawn,
          You can add columns to the drop down.  Copy the screen and open up the drop down edit menu. In Step 4 of 6, you can select other columns to display in your drop down.
          You can do some customization to filter the drop down based on the customer that is chosen for the Work Order.  It would be an action on a change to the Customer drop down that filters the equipment drop down to show only equipment with the customer.
         You can also do the same thing with the Job Items.  You would have to add Link fields to the ActivityJobItems and then under the advanced option for the Job Item grid for the Work Order, you can select to display more fields as well.

    Thanks for replying.  My issue is that I can not choose any addtional columns.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the late reply.  That file location looks to be on your own computer and not online.  You will have to use a program like Imgur to display an image and provide a url.

    Hello Shawn,

       I am having trouble selecting more fields from the CustomerEquipment table for the ActivityJobItem table.  There seems to be a restriction on it.   This may be what you are experiencing.

    Hello,

       Restriction is a bad word for it.  I editing the ActivityJobItem table in the Tables/Fields screen and could not add any fields that were from the CustomerEquipment table.  When you select Add a Linked Field and choose CustomerEquipment, no fields appear in the next dropdown.
