QB Customer type to appear in Method

    Hi

I need to know how I can do the following:

I want the QB "Customer Type" to appear in our Existing Customers and contacts Grid so the rep can do a search using that field. How do I do that? I think you explaind what needs to occur below but how ?

You mentioned that you wanted to ask how you could associate the Customer Type field with a sales rep and have that show on the Existing Cusotmers and Contacts grid. I mentioned that in order for the CustomerType field to show, you would need to create a linked field in the Contacts table that is linked to the CustomerType field in the Customer table. You can then add that field to the grid on the screen.

    Hello,

To add the column to the grid, copy the screen and open it in the screen designer.  Find the Contacts grid in the screen designer and click Edit on the grid.  Go to Step 2 of 9:Grid Columns.  Choose Field 'CustomerType' and modify the Column Caption if needed.  Click Insert Column and save. (Click Finished for the pop-up and Publish on the screen designer).

If you can't see the CustomerType available, go to Customize -> Tables/Fields to check the Contacts table.  Click on the Contacts table.  Click Add a Linked Field and for Link Using choose Entity and Linked Field choose CustomerType.  Change the Display As value if need be.  Then click Add Field.  Now the field should be available to use.
