    Need to fix SalesRep table.

The SalesRep table in Method has missing or incorrect data in it.  I cannot edit the table in Method and the data does not seem to be corrected through a changes-only or the scheduled full sync.

Several records in the SalesRep table are missing data in the EntityType and SalesRepName fields.  In addition, the data is the SalesRepName_RecordID field is incorrect.  By examining the User table and the Entity table, I can see what the values in those fields should be.

The sales reps look correct in QuickBooks.

    1. Will a Full Sync bring the Method table up to date?

    2. Can I run a Full Sync on list only by setting the sync option to none for all transaction types?

    3. Or is there another approach I should use to correct the data?

    Thanks.

    Hi viret56,

Try doing a full sync to start off. Go to the Synchronize tab link under the QuickBooks tab in Method and click on the Sync now button to the right of "Full Synchronization".

If that doesn't do the trick, try making a slight change to a sales rep from within QuickBooks, then performing a changes-only sync by following the above steps but clicking the Sync now button to the right of "Changes-Only Synchronization" instead.

If the problem still persists, try regenerating the SalesRep and Entity tables. This can be done by going to Customize > Tables/Fields, clicking on Edit fields… to the right of SalesRep and then clicking on Finished Editing Fields. Repeat this process for the Entity table.

If none of the above solutions work, I'll need some more information in order to properly troubleshoot the problem.

    • On what screen are you seeing the missing/incorrect data?
    • What browser are you using to login to Method? Try logging in with a different browser and checking the table again.
    • Are you receiving any error messages when viewing/editing the data or when following the above steps? If so, please post them here.

We can also login and take a look at your account. If you'd like us to do this, you'll need to enable the MethodSupport user by going to Customize > Users and clicking the checkbox under Active for the MethodSupport user at the bottom of the screen. Then go ahead and email me your Company Account name by clicking "Contact" and "Send email" at the top of this forum post.

    Hope this helps.
