Hi

I need to figure out how to add a New Activity from the New Leads page/screen. There used to be a button to do that, but then it disappeared over the weekend. I'm not sure why that is, but I need to figure out how to put that option back. I've tried editing the page myself, but I have no clue where to begin with this.

You can add an Activity for a Lead by going to Leads > Leads and Contacts List and clicking Go To... to the left of the lead want to add the Activity for. On the Edit Lead screen that appears, click on the Activities tab at the bottom of the screen and then click the New Activity... button below the resulting grid. I believe this is the button you are referring to.

That's useful, but not exactly what I'm looking for. I need to be able to create a new activity at the same time as I create a new lead. I need to be able to do all that from one page since I will be on the phone with a customer as I'm getting their information. I had been able to do that before with the new leads page and I'm trying to customize the page to do that again.

It wouldn't be possible to create a new Lead and associated Activity at the exact same time, since the Lead first needs to be created before an Activity can be created for and linked to it. However, if you're on the New Lead screen and click the Save & Edit button when you're done filling out the Lead's information, it should take you directly to the Edit Lead screen where you can add an Activity quickly from there. This way you don't have to go to the Leads and Contacts List screen and find the new Lead manually, you can just get straight to editing and adding Activities.

I'll try this out for my next customer and see how it works. It looks like it might.
