    Adding a New Campaign Type on the Opportunity Level

    Hello, 

    Under Opporunity -> Campaign Type, I need to add another stage, "Data Installs". How do I do this myself?

    Hello Eliza,

       I believe I am in the correct spot.  Let me know if I am off.  There is a button with an ellipse, ... , that you can click and bring up the New/Edit Opportunity Stages menu.  Here you can enter a new stage or select an existing stage to edit the record.

    Hello Greg! 

    Looking back on this I see that we had made this a custom field (see below on the lower left side). Is this something I can alter on my end? Or is there somewhere I can look for the answer?

    Hello Eliza,

        It's definitely something that you can add to.  The values may have been created when the dropdown was added to the table.   When creating a dropdown for a table, you either specify to create a new table or join to an existing one.  You have two options.

     1. You can do an import update to the table.  See the Help Center on importing article for more guidance.  To find what table to import into, go to Customize -> Tables/Fields and click 'Opportunity'.  The fields for the table will appear.  Hover over Campaign type to see what table the field is based on.  The picture below has the Customer dropdown selected.

     2. You may have a custom screen that was added to manage the Campaign Types.  I'm not sure if this is true for your account.

    Hello Again, 

    Still working on this. Thank you for your assistance! We were able to find the tables and add the appropraite fields - However we are unable to view our additions to the field names under the correct drop down. Are we missing a joining/publishing step? I have a screen shot but it wont paste here - under field name the new drop downs are missing. I could email it to you if that helps!

    Hi Eliza,

    Please go to Customize > Users in Method and ensure that the box under Active is checked for the MethodSupport user at the bottom of the screen. Once you've done that, send me an email by clicking the Contact button in the top-right corner of this post and let me know your Company Account Name, as well as the name of the dropdown and any associated tables. I'll take a look and post back here with some insight.
