Hello,

In the Report Designer we generated a Route List report. In the Report Footer section of this report we set up a Pivot Grid that sums up the Quantity and $ Amount (one column for each) for the deliveries on a specific day. The functionality of the Pivot Grid is just fine, but we are interested in formatting the Amount column; we'd like to have the following: (1) add a dollar sign: $ (2) reduce the decimal points from 4 to 2. This sounds fairly simply, yet I am having difficulty finding how to go about it Can you please let me know what needs to be done to accomplish such formatting?

Hello Ivana,

     First, you will have to bring up the Propery Grid for the column.  You can either do this by clicking on the field in the Data Headers in the Designer screen or go to the pivot grid's designer wizard.  In the wizard, click on the field you want to format in the SRPivotGrid Fields column on the Fields screen.  Under the Appearance section, expand Cell Format.  Type in ${0:n2} .  Next, select Format Type 'Custom'.  This should give you a dollar sign and the rounding that you need.  See the example below where I did the same for my subtotal column.
