    Google Calendar not updating to match Method Calendar

    Sometimes the google calendar does not seem to update.  Yesterday I moved a work order in method to a date 2 weeks in the furture.  I also moved another work order from one user's calendar to another.  24 hours later. Neither change has been updated in the user's google calendar.  Any idea what it takes to push this data through to google calendar?

    Hi Andrew,

    I have replicated your actions without seeing any syncing/updating issues.

    You can check the Google Calendar sync status by clicking on your username >  My Profile > Google Calendar.

    Ensure the 'Enable Syncing with Google Calendar' box is checked and refer to the 'Last sync' timestamp. Click 'Sync Now' to perform a manual sync with Google Calendar.

    While Method allows you to create calendars on any table, only the Activities table is synced with Google Calendar.

    Only Activities that meet the following criteria will sync;

    1. Date is 1 week ago and later.

    2. Date is before 6 months in the future.

    3. Not assigned to a 'Cancelled' Activity Status category.

    4. Assigned to an Activity Type with the 'IsOnCalendar' option 'Yes'.

    Not sure where you were replicating them, but when I hit the sync now button, I got an error.  Anyway,

    Just called greg at tech support.  Turned out to be that my employee needed to sign in to method with google ID.  Once I did this, M was able to sync the calendar.  Greg said that was from a security update that was pushed through a few weeks ago.

    Hello Andrew,

       Glad I could help.  I have recently seen Method users who need to reauthorize the OpenId Calendar sync.  I can make a note for others who do find this post and are having similar issues.  Try these:

    1. Make sure Enable syncing with Google Calendar is checked in your Google Calendar menu.

    2. Sign in using your OpenID.  This means clicking the Google Apps button on the login screen.  This will reauthorize the OpenID to link the Google account with your Method user account.

    3. If you have the Gmail Gadget going, sign in through Method on the Gmail side. There is a Method link in the Apps menu.  The apps menu is the nine squares square icon on the top right.  (I don't know what its name is)

    If you still can't get the Calendar sync to go, please give us a call on the Method support line.

    To let people know, I refered to the update to the Gmail Gadget to OAuth 2.0 which was sent out in an email to customers in mid-Sept.
