Error saving Screen

    Error saving Screen

    I get this error when I click Save after making a change on an existing screen.

    We were unable to add the screen Preferences due to an unexpected error.

    Please try again or contact Method Technical Support for further assistance.

    The code is: 5327-5944-0076

    Hello Matt,

         I can report the error.  I'll need some more information.  What preferences on the screen did you change just before you clicked Save? Is there anyway you can provide screen shots of where you were when you received the error message?  I'm not sure what you mean by screen preferences.

    Preferences is the name of the screen.

    Making any change at all and then clicking the save button causes the error. Let me know if you need more info.

    Hi Matt,

    Sorry again that this post slipped past us. As per our email conversation, I was able to replicate this error and have created a ticket for the development team to investigate further. I’ll keep you posted on any updates that I receive via this thread.

    Hi Matt,

    I received an update from our development team regarding this issue. The error is due to using the reserve word “day” as the name of one of your action results. If you change the name of the action result, you should be able to save the screen. Give this a shot and post back with the result.

    That did the trick. Thanks!

    Hopefully it goes without saying, but please put in a ticket to warn the user if they try to save an action result named "day"

    Hi Matt,

    Glad to hear it worked! I did mention this is my response and a ticket has already been created to restrict the use of this reserve word as an action result.

    Just letting you know that we deployed an update that prevents users from using reserve words as action result names. You shouldn't run into this issue again.
